Sonnyboy Magano is the Founder and Creative Director of Sonnymagic Hair and Beauty Lounge (Shop 034EF Middle Galleria, Melrose Arch), since May 2014. Prior to this, he held head stylist roles in premium salons i.e. Alex hair, Gary Rom, Mzizi, Mos Definite and Mane Salon. Magano believes in service par excellence, integrity and has a flair for natural beauty. He is known especially to enhance the beauty that lies within.

He has a flair for Pixie cuts and is the King of simplicity. Amongst his accolades, are: L’Oréal Best Stylist in 2009, an Ambassador of Women against AIDS initiated by L’Oréal in 2012. An Appointed Head Stylist for Miss SA Pageants for 3 years conservatively and of recent he kept the SA Idols looking sleek and chic. His attentive craft, has been featured in various publications such as “True Love”, “Cleo” and “Drum” Magazines. To his staff he is a teacher and mentor, always looking to inspire a sense of purpose and pride.

He is compassionate, creative, a father, a visionary and husband. His ways are warm, gentle and fine, although resolute. His will, to establish a training academy and a leading salon management institute, to empower and ensure efficiency to aspiring Kasi stylists. Amongst since C-Suite clients are fashion designer David Tlale, Actress Terry Pheto and the flamboyant Somizi Mhlongo. Magano is responsible for keeping the recent clash of choir winner, JR Bogope, looking impressively trimmed to fade, with a polished twist, to finish the cut.An experience with him is nothing short of magical.
