PHD has been an exclusive salon which has always lent itself more toward an urban feel and in 2013 the owners decided it was time to renovate the salon. After a lot of research and discussions with their team on thinking like a consumer and what the consumer needed from a salon, PHD realized that the focus of the renovation could not only be on design and comfort, which is a very big part of it, but on the entire experience from the time our guests arrive up to the last minute they leave. The on-going education and training in conjunction with our brand partners makes our stylists experts in the industry of hairdressing. For our bespoke gents who still enjoy the classic shave we have a barbering section where they can receive a hot towel shave the traditional way using UK’s top shaving range, The Bluebeards Revenge. The backwash area at PHD is in a separate room with the focus on total relaxation where mood changing LED lighting and lie down horizontal seats are guaranteed to take the strain off your back and neck
