Hair & Beauty’s Student Wellness Salon is associated with Total Concept Academy’s Student Wellness Salon.
Hair & Beauty Kragga Kamma was founded by Karin Botha on May 1, 2009, an enthusiastic entrepreneur with a dedicated drive for success. Karin’s passion and love for the hair industry have excelled her to new heights.
Since the birth of the salon, Karin has seen many years of success with an ever-growing loyal client base, warranting the opening of her second salon, Hair & Beauty The Village in 2015.
To date, both salons have increased with popularity and have seen many beautiful, extravagant and elegant hair transformations. The salons cater for all hair types, genders, styles and colors. The shabby-chic interior allows for mindful stimulation, while the decor provides charm and comfort.
As of January 23, 2017, Karin received exciting news that she would be yet another business owner by acquiring Total Concept Hair & Beauty Academy situated in Newton Park. This has further connected her love and passion to the Hairdressing & Barbering Industry as it has allowed her the opportunity to use her skills to educate and up-skill young individuals entering the industry.
Total Concept Hair & Beauty Academy has been in the Beauty, Health & Skincare industry for 26 years. During this time we have found it imperative to give our students as much working experience as possible to ensure they have the skills required once qualified to be highly professional and work ready. The concept of the “academy salon” was thus implemented. Treatments were performed at the academy under lecturer supervision in a classroom environment for students to practice their skills and knowledge, as well as too complete their experiential hourse needed to qualify in a salon environment. As of 2018, we decided to enhance this working experience further and give the students an area as closely related to a working salon/spa as possible and thus our Student Wellness Salon was born. Our Student Wellness Salon now operates from the Hair & Beauty Salon Kragga Kamma Road.
Treatments are offered at reduced prices while students are still completing their studies. Students from all our courses are offered the opportunity to work and gain valuable experience in this holistic environment.
